World Health Organization: Also Keep Face Mask After Vaccination
People vaccinated against Covid-19 should keep their distance from others and cover their mouth and nose. The World Health Organization (WHO) said so on Monday.
A vaccine has been scientifically shown to fight the disease, but it’s unclear whether vaccinated people can infect others, experts say.
That means that a vaccine may not stop the spread of the coronavirus, but only stop the disease in most infected people.
In addition to a mouth mask and observance of distance measures, the WHO recommends that vaccinated people also continue to wash their hands regularly.
More research on vaccines is needed, WHO vaccine expert Kate O’Brien said.
