WHO Approves New Chinese Corona Vaccine
The World Health Organization (WHO) has approved the eleventh vaccine against the coronavirus. It concerns the Chinese Convidecia, which is administered in a single dose.
It is a so-called emergency permit.
Convidecia was found to be effective against symptoms of disease in 64 out of 100 people and against severe COVID-19 in 92 out of 100.
The vaccine is recommended for all age groups over 18 and is based on a modified human adenovirus, the WHO said in a statement.
