US School in North Carolina on Lockdown Over Alleged Gunman in the Area

In the US state of North Carolina, the alarm was raised Tuesday about an “active gunman” at a high school. That’s what Fox News reported.

The suspected shooter is said to be located near the Jackson campus of Southwestern Community College in Sylva. The school has gone into lockdown. Students must stay indoors, and classes and offices must remain closed.

The school later said there was “no active gunman situation”. Police are said to be about to arrest a fugitive criminal.

It especially shows how great the fear is after the recent shootings in American schools.

In the town of Uvalde, in the US state of Texas, 18-year-old Salvador Ramos killed 21 people at the end of May. The police were able to eliminate the shooter.
