Switzerland Wants Everyone to be Able to Vaccinate From Summer Onwards
Switzerland wants to offer anyone who wants to be vaccinated against the coronavirus an injection by the summer, a government official said Tuesday.
The Alpenland has already approved the Pfizer and BioNTech vaccine for use and expects to do the same shortly for Moderna’s corona drug, of which it has ordered 7.5 million doses.
Switzerland expects to have 500,000 doses of the Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine in its house by January.
Provided the Swiss medicine watchdog also approves Moderna’s vaccine, the government expects to have one million vaccines on hand by February.
Authorities announced earlier that 28 cases have been identified of the new more contagious variant of the coronavirus that was first reported in Britain.
