Ryanair Hires 2000 New Pilots
Ryanair has room for 2,000 new pilots over the next three years. The airline has ordered 210 new Boeings 737-8200, which means a lot of work will become available.
The Irish low-cost carrier has already taken delivery of the first of these Boeings.
The new planes should help Ryanair reduce fuel consumption, lower costs and reduce noise pollution and CO2 emissions. Ryanair wants to become the most sustainable and cleanest major airline in Europe.
The training sessions of the new drivers should start in 2021 so that the first can start in the summer of 2022. According to the HR director, it is not only good news for new pilots, but the pilots who are already employed can be promoted faster.
The investment in the new aircraft coincides with the recovery from the corona crisis. As a result, the low-cost airline expects it to carry 200 million passengers by 2024.
