Russians Now Also Think the Writer of Pippi Longstocking a Nazi
In the Russian war propaganda, the creator of Pippi Longstocking, the Swedish children’s book author Astrid Lingren, is now labelled as a Nazi.
Two other deceased Swedish celebrities also receive the same qualification: director Ingmar Bergman and IKEA founder Ingvar Kamprad.
According to the German newspaper Bild, it is a Russian reaction to Sweden’s consideration of joining the Western defence federation NATO: Kremlin despot Vladimir Putin incites the Russians against the Scandinavian country.
Recently, posters appeared at bus stops in Russia, insulting prominent Swedes as Nazis. It is in line with Russia’s justification for the bloody invasion of Ukraine. That country should be rid of Nazis. The Russian regime insults the three Swedish national heroes under the headline ‘WE are against Nazism and THEY are not’.
President Putin and his regime don’t just claim that Nazis are in power in Ukraine. Moscow is also seeing more and more Nazis appearing elsewhere. For example, mercenaries from the Jewish state of Israel would fight alongside neo-Nazis in Ukraine.
