Putin Leaves Russians Out of Their Pockets, Despite More Than 11,000 Corona Infections
Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced that the general measure to stay at home will no longer apply to Russians from tomorrow.
It is now up to regional officials to decide how quarantine measures are organized at the local level. However, the number of coronavirus infections in the country continues to rise.
More than 11,600 new infections were counted in the past 24 hours.
“Tomorrow, May 12, the period of inactivity, which is in place across the country, will be over.
However, the fight against this epidemic is not yet over,” Putin said in a televised speech.
“From 12 May, conditions must be created for the resumption of activities in the basic sectors of the economy such as construction, industry, agriculture, telecommunications, energy and the extraction of raw materials.”
