Ministry Advises Against Travelling to Corona Municipalities in Italy
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs amended the travel advice for the municipalities in northern Italy where the coronavirus was diagnosed Monday.
The department advises against travelling to these municipalities in the province of Padua and the Lombardy region.
The travel advice points out that access roads in the area are being checked. Museums, schools and universities are temporarily closed and major public events have been cancelled.
In the province of Padua the municipality of Vo ‘Euganeo is concerned, in Lombardy it is Casalpusterlengo, Codogno, Castiglione d’Adda, Fombio, Maleo, Somaglia, Bertonico, Terranova dei Passerini, Castelgerundo and San Fiorano.
CDA MP Pieter Omtzigt urged Monday morning to tighten up travel advice for Italy. In the north of that country, the virus has been diagnosed in more than two hundred people. Seven people died.
