Nottingham Trent University in the United Kingdom has rejected a student after making racist comments towards England players Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka.

The trio was inundated with racist comments after the lost European Championship final against Italy, in which the trio missed penalties.

A Snapchat video circulated on social media in which the young man uttered racist texts to the three players. “This is not about a student who is currently at our university,” a Nottingham Trent University spokesperson said in a statement to various British media outlets.

“We do not tolerate any form of discrimination and racism. immediately investigated the case and therefore withdrew an offer to a prospective student to attend our university.”

Police have arrested five people for online racism towards English players since Sunday’s defeat in Italy. On Wednesday, Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced plans to ban people who are guilty of racism in Britain from sports stadiums.

He met with representatives from Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat and Instagram on Tuesday to discuss how to resolve the issues.
