Apple and Facebook Argue Over Privacy Policy

Apple and Facebook are arguing about their privacy policy. Apps in Apple’s operating system iOS 14 will have to explicitly request permission from users in order to be able to track their surfing behaviour and thus distribute targeted advertisements.

The social media company accuses the iPhone maker of abuse of power. Apple defended its policy in a letter to a series of human rights organizations, including Amnesty International.

In it, Apple accuses Mark Zuckerberg’s company that it does not respect the privacy rights of its users.

Facebook responded sharply and also sent a letter to the world where questions were asked about the privacy policy of the technology giant.

Facebook accuses Apple of abusing its position by collecting data itself and making it inaccessible to the competition.
